With «Resource Efficiency and Sustainability», the TH Georg Agricola University launches its first DAAD-funded summer school from 27 June to 2 July 2022.

The interdisciplinary event is intended for undergraduate students of the technical field of study.  Professional input, workshops, pitch trainings as well as excursions and an exciting evening program are part of the event. Over the course of the summer school, participants will develop their own ideas on the subject of sustainability and resource efficiency, of which the best will be awarded.

The selected participants will receive a DAAD scholarship, which includes a travel allowance depending on the destination country as well as a subsidy of € 250 for accommodation costs. There are no additional costs for excursions or the evening program. The applicant portal is open until the 29th of May 2022.

We are informing you about the beginning of accepting documents for participation in the competition for studies on the academic mobility program during the autumn semester of the 2022-2023 academic year in European and Chinese universities by financing the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

A prerequisite when submitting documents for participation in the competition:

- undergraduate students studying under the state educational order, starting from the 2nd year
- Mandatory English language skills at B1 / B2 and above, current academic performance of GPI is 3.0 and higher and maximum compliance of the specialty.

Scholarship program for studying in Kazakhstani universities

Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan calls for foreign applicants, including persons of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan for full-time studying under Bachelor, Master and PhD educational programs.

Youth Regional Affairs Dialogue 2022

Organised by NTU-USP and supported by Temasek Foundation, the Youth Regional Affairs Dialogue 2022 is a platform for university students in Asia to enhance their leadership skills and broaden their understanding of geopolitics.

Dialogue Objectives

Aspiring youth leaders will have an opportunity to develop an appreciation of Asia’s interwoven geopolitical structure through discussions on economics, politics and society, and foster an understanding of governance and policies across Asia as they build friendships through cross-cultural exchanges.

Programme Details 

The 9-day programme will be held from 23rd – 31st July 2022 at the NTU campus in Singapore.

Centred on the theme of “Social Cohesion in Asia”, participants will be challenged to critically examine the theme by considering its interaction with related issues.

The dialogue session will gather 40 international students from around Asia and 40 local scholars from Singapore.

Participants will get to broaden their understanding of geopolitics through talks by guest speakers, field visits and discussions with faculty members, as well as strengthen their personal and professional networks with future leaders in Asia.

Successful applicants will be heavily funded with programme fees and travel support (which includes airfare, accommodation in Singapore, living allowance, transport, visa and travel insurance).

Who can participate?

To be a scholar of Foundation you have to be a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who is studying full-time at one of the universities in Kazakhstan and who passed selection procedure. At the time of applying for a scholarship the applicant must not be older than 30 years.

The advantage in the competitive selection is given to students participating in the socio-political life of the country and having an active life position. Knowledge of a foreign language is welcome, but not required.

Competitive selection process

Future scholars of the KAF will pass a two-stage competitive selection process: submission of a package of documents and an interview.

Overview of the CSC full scholarship

The CSC full scholarship covers the tuition fee, the accommodation, the comprehensive medical insurance and the monthly stipend (CNY3,000 for masters and CNY3,500 for PhDs). The international air fare is not covered.

The scholarship will be offered to the students during their stay at Beijing Institute of Technology for the period of the Master programs (2 years) and PhD programs (4 years).

Graduate Programs

Beijing Institute of Technology has now formed a disciplinary structure with a traditional focus on science and technology but also developing into other areas such as management and humanities.

Qualifications

  1. Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens and in good health, and will observe the Chinese laws and the regulations, and the rules and regulations of Beijing Institute of Technology.
  2. Applicants for Master programs should be under the age of 35; Applicants for PhD programs should be under the age of 40.
